Wokingham United Charities divides into two separate but linked roles :- Running the Wokingham Almshouses at Westende and Operating a relief in need endowed fund to help needy people resident in the parishes of Wokingham, Wokingham Without, St.Nicholas Hurst, Ruscombe and Finchampstead North who are in poverty, hardship or distress. They make charitable grants to those people in need usually in conjunction with housing and social service links with the Wokingham Borough Council and other similar organisations.
