Burns Night Whisky Tasting in aid of First Days Charity

They’ll have five whiskies, representing a variety of Scottish regions and styles. You’ll sample a dram of each, with reference to tasting notes produced by the Scottish Malt Whisky Society. Cheese and biscuits form a fine partnership with whisky, and will be provided along with Scottish spring water for dilution of the cask-strength spirit to taste.  (It may surprise you to know that dilution to about 20-30% ABV is strongly recommended.  Neat spirit assaults the palate, inhibiting proper appreciation of the flavour and aroma of the whisky.)
