Summer Concert 24 Elgar Smyth & Bridge

Our next concert at All Saints Wokingham features Elgar’s masterful Symphony No.1, along with the overture to Dame Ethel Smyth’s opera The Wreckers, based on tales of ships lured onto remote Cornish coasts to plunder their cargoes. The programme is completed with Frank Bridge’s 1908 Dance Rhapsody with its contrasting dance modes.
