The Town Council is based in the historic Victorian Town Hall in the centre of Wokingham

The Town Council are responsible for:
- Allotments – Gipsy Lane, Latimer Road, Ormonde Road, St. Paul’s Gate
- Community buildings – management and maintenance of the Town Hall and Woosehill Community Hall
- Community grants – available to local and charitable organisations in Wokingham town
- Civic Office – Town Mayor, Civic Awards, and Remembrance Sunday
- Events – we run both large and small events within the town such as The International Street Concert in June to Children’s Fun Day, Theatre in the Park, and Town celebration days. Details of all events can be found in the ‘What’s On’ section here on the Love Wokingham website.
- Information Centre – hiring of rooms for meetings and functions at our community buildings including weddings and civil ceremonies in our Town Hall
- Markets – weekly general and monthly farmers’ markets
- Parks and open spaces – Howard Palmer Gardens, Joel Park and Holt Copse, King George V playing field, Langborough Recreation Ground, Leslie Sears Playing field, Redlands Farm Park, Viking Field
- Planning – statutory consultee for planning applications, development proposals and transport matters within the town boundary
- Christmas lights and motifs
