Reading Toy Run
The Reading Toy Run will be back on Sunday 6th December meaning everywhere you look there will be various interpretations of Father Christmas, Reindeer, Snowmen, Elves and possibly even a Turkey or two all riding motorbikes and decking the town with tinsel, noise and a whole lot of heart
The Reading Toy Run is an annual charity motorcycle ride from Reading to Wokingham. It has continued over 31 years to attract hundreds of bikers from all aspects of the biking fraternity to join together, mid winter, in bringing gifts and toys to Barnardos.
The final destination of the run is High Close School on Wiltshire Road. Once delivered, the toys are then distributed by Barnardos, over the Christmas period to children in many of their centres around the UK and other local projects. In recent years, the ride has attracted over 2000 participants.
If you’re a biker and want to join in the fun just head to the meet point – Thames Valley Science Park for 11am, with an unwrapped gift and you’ll be good to go 🏍 Ride leaves at 1pm.
Please line the street from Winnersh down Reading Rd to Wokingham (past Waitrose) and give the riders a wavw! it’s a nice bit of fun for the children too.
Rolling road closures in place.
