Wokingham Lions Swimathon
This is a new event for Wokingham Lions – a chance for you to raise funds for your favourite charity by swimming in Wokingham’s new 6 lane, 25 meter Carnival Pool!
The Wokingham Swimathon will be an event for all ages and swimming abilities in which teams of up to 8 persons can swim in relay and raise money for their favourite cause.
The Swimathon is designed to be a fun event – it’s not a race. You’ll be swimming with family, friends or colleagues while raising money for good causes. What’s not to like!
Minimum age 8 years. Note that a Parental/Guardian consent form has to be completed for all Junior swimmers aged sixteen or under on day of the Swimathon.
The entry fee is £50 per team which works out at just £6.25 each for a team of eight.
Money raised by Wokingham Lions from entry fees will go to help those in our community who need support, however every penny you raise in sponsorship by entering a team goes to your chosen cause.
To make it easy to fundraise there is a Just Giving page – if you are registered as a charity there, all you have to do is encourage followers to go to your JustGiving page, select “Fundraise for us”, select “Taking part in an event” and search for “Wokingham Swimathon”.
